IMPACT Muang Thong Thani was established in 1998 when
Bangkok Land Public Company Limited built the Muang Thong
Thani Stadium as one of the three official sport stadiums to
host the 13 th Asian Games. The stadium, equipped with the
state-of-the-art facilities, provided an impressive
multi-purpose hall and an arena capable of hosting 12,000
people.
Following
the great success of the Asian Games, the stadium was then
designated as a venue for trade shows, conferences and
special events. The stadium was expanded and renamed as the
IMPACT Exhibition Center in 1999. The Bangkok Land Group
formed the IMPACT Exhibition Management Company Limited so
as to professionally manage this distinctive facility.
The company has since hosted a countless number of
large-scale international and local events such as the BOI
Fair, Science & Technology Fair, Motor Expo, Wedding Fair
and International Travel Shows.
IMPACT Convention Center was built in 2000 to cope with the
increasing demand for convention and conference space. Halls
5-8 of the IMPACT Exhibition Center were completed in 2003
offering a spacious exhibition area of 27,000 square-meters.
The two centers later merged and were re-branded the IMPACT
Exhibition and Convention Center to reflect their compatible
functions.
The center's official name is IMPACT Muang Thong Thani and
comprises of the IMPACT Arena, the IMPACT Exhibition Center
and the IMPACT Convention Center .
With the completion of IMPACT Challenger in the beginning of
2006, the center will cement its position as “a world of
space” providing all purpose venues for all extraordinary
events.
